Okay, since today will be the last show I'll share my favorite moments from the first time I saw AIDA.
It was in the scene before 'Enchantment Passing Through' (which he did not crack in! it was early in the run)
when the pharaoh said, "Although it means you can never leave Egypt again..." And toward the end of those lines, Adam looked up toward the ceiling and his chest was heaving, as if Radames was having trouble breathing at that moment. It was actually very subtle, but I was in the 3rd row, so I could see it and I could see the facial expression very clearly, and I remember at that moment feeling really sorry for this character, who has to listen to how he has to give up his dreams, but has to pretend that he is fine about it. He doesn't quite capture that expression every show he does, but when he does it, you really feel for him. I was very critical of the show the first time, too, but that moment moved me.
