Aw, Emcee... don't cry...

Okay, since today will be the last show I'll share my favorite moments from the first time I saw AIDA.

It was in the scene before 'Enchantment Passing Through' (which he did not crack in! it was early in the run) when the pharaoh said, "Although it means you can never leave Egypt again..." And toward the end of those lines, Adam looked up toward the ceiling and his chest was heaving, as if Radames was having trouble breathing at that moment. It was actually very subtle, but I was in the 3rd row, so I could see it and I could see the facial expression very clearly, and I remember at that moment feeling really sorry for this character, who has to listen to how he has to give up his dreams, but has to pretend that he is fine about it. He doesn't quite capture that expression every show he does, but when he does it, you really feel for him. I was very critical of the show the first time, too, but that moment moved me.

WOW! didnt realize it was that many!! We are having an Adam Pascal Convention. The RNC left so the APC could take over! Bet there are no protests at this one!!

FAVORITE AIDA MOMENT: middle of NOT ME when Adam .. I mean Radames starts giving things away and Nehebka (sp?) says "he is giving everything away, and giving it all to us!" then they start singing "And who'da thought i'd throw my world away, to be with someone til his dying day!"

*cries hysterically*

Favorite moment? In the show - when Radames is down on his knees in EL.

Personal: When Adam came back, the first time I saw him walk on stage as Radames in four years. I couldn't have been happier.

Oh, and being invited to go to the last show. You aren't here, but I love you, Undiscovered!!!

Good morning everyone. Thought I should report back

The show was GREAT yesterday night, performance wise probably the best one I have seen so far... I had this feeling Adam and Deborah started to 'peak'. I know the last show today will be just perfect.

The cast started getting really emotional last night, lots of them cried during The Gods Love Nubia. Schele was really upset, bless her. Even Deborah managed to squeeze out a tear which means a lot

Adam looked really upset during Elaborate Lives (Reprise) and I actually thought he was gonna 'go' and start crying (I swear if he starts crying today someone will have to pick me up off the floor, that'll be too much to handle for me )

And I'm DELIGHTED to say that his WILL FORGET (both words) were spot on!!! I couldn't believe it! It was the very first time I actually witnessed it myself. I was very impressed.

Not a lot of things to tell you otherwise. You can just tell that everyone started getting emotional on stage and there were quite a few tears already which made me very sad.
Also, LOTS of Adam fans in (he got a wild entrance applause for FFTB whereas Deborah didn't get any reaction when she walked on which made me giggle).

Can't wait for the last one today, it will be a fantastic show. Looking forward to meeting some of you. Undiscovered and Emcee, watch out for me during intermission

Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself, QM. From the build-up of emotion you described, it looks like the whole theatre will be sobbing today .

For everyone who's going, have a GREAT time! I'd start feeling sorry for myself but I don't want to give QueenMuppet a reason to start giving me her 'talk to the hand' gesture again. And then I'd have to er, hit my notes perfectly, etc.
