The Official Natasha Richardson Love Thread

The Official Natasha Richardson Love Thread

With Streetcar closing tomorrow, I thought I would start a thread where we could post our love for this ridiculously gorgeous and even more ridiculously talented actress.

Let the lovefest begin!

Truly a GREAT actress -- she clearly inherited the Redgrave gift -- one of the finest around.

I love Natasha Richardson because she's not afraid to take chances as an actress. My favorite Natasha experience: It was circa 1997/8 I went to see a matinee showing of Disney's remake of "The Parent Trap" [with Natasha playing mom to Lindsey Lohan] and then I took in an evening performance of the "Cabaret" revival. Two very different performances from a great actress!

Well, I love her....of course!

She is so nice too.

I didn't know what to expect. I mean, she's not just a Broadway actress, she's a movie star. A true movie star.

I though there would be a "no picture" rule. In fact, Reilly came out and some old lady - in her 70-80's asked if he'd sign a yearbook (of actors) of some sort and he said he only signs playbills. Although he did take photos and did ask if anyone had a playbill they wanted signed.

Anyway, Natasha came out smiling, speaking in that sexy voice too good to be true. I had my Cabaret book opened for her to sign (because someone in front of me chickened out and shut hers)...Natasha smiled and signed in. Then the two of us took a picture and she was very accomodating...told us to come around to the other side of the barricade (<---The picture). Then she also signed my playbill.

Oh, and she's an incredible actress. Steals the stage completely.

I love her so much that I think I'm going to have to buy a Streetcar poster for which I don't have the wall space AND that I can't really afford.

The Streetcar window cards are only $8 at the theatre, Emcee. Much cheaper than in the other stores you can find it in.

And Natasha is a stunning actress and my favorite working one at that. She was such a class act at the stage door with her fans. I too got a picture with her. I was surprised because several days before I saw the show, someone said in a thread that she does not take individual pictures with fans.

I must say I was very surprised at Reilly's behavior at the door. For some reason I just envisioned him being very distant and a no pictures kind of guy. I was completely wrong. He and Natasha were both extremely nice.

I've never had any trouble going into a theatre to buy merchandise. Just make sure you go an hour or so before the show starts so they have the merchandise out.

re: The Official Natasha Richardson Love Thread

I decided against attending the closing performance today for two reasons:

1.) I wanted all of the available tickets to go to people who hadn't already seen it.
2.) I knew I'd be crying like a baby, and my wails would divert attention from Natasha.

awww. *pat pat*
It's okay, MEF. re: The Official Natasha Richardson Love Thread When I was there, I kind of wanted to harass the box office people and see if I could get a ticket, but then I realized that the fact that the poster was so cheap made me as happy as it did because I have no money.
