I wish I had a way to share it. Hmm. I wonder if there would be a way for me to rip the audio from the DVD. I'll give it a shot.
I don't know, I think he could do a lot with Bert. I think his version of Bert would be nothing anyone would ever expect... but still surprisingly good.
I don't know if he would do another light show. Most likely not right after Chitty.
I know Ellen Marlow has her eye on playing the little girl in Poppins. Is it Jane? Anyway, that would be cute if they somehow wound up in another show together!
rip the audio? hell, rip the video! (haha, i did NOT say that, that is ILLEGAL! haha.)

I don't know how to do that! I'd be too scared that I would ruin my copy. And even if I figured it out - my internet would never let me stay connected long enough to upload a video of that size. :/

Actually, I've been wondering WHAT Raul could and would do after Chitty. And this whole thing with Bert (or Burt-I don't even f*ckin' know) made me think. Personally, I would really like to see him in another play. Only becuase I've seen him in more musicals. Plus, he gets to show off the acting chops more in plays. So personally, I would like to see him in a Shakespeare play. I don't think he's ever done one. Has he? That would be awesome. That, or a Sondheim musical. Of course, I will fully support whatever he chooses to do next.
C'mon people. After Chitty, I think he's dying for a meaty, darker part. This fluff has to be killing him. I need him broody and intense again. Just to keep it balanced. And a play would be great, it'd give his voice a rest and....does anyone remember The Normal Heart? Oh man...I still am haunted by that performance. He's brilliant.

Somehow I doubt his voice got very much rest during The Normal Heart! That was some serious screaming going on. I only saw that play once. I will NEVER forget that scream.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think he needs a role that he can really sink his teeth into.
I'm actually watching The Normal Heart as I type this. I finally fixed the DVD and it's working now. So, I'm going to have to go close myself up and give it 110% of my attention.
Oh hell...that scream. I shook to my bones. How did he do that 8 times a week. Such raw emotion...
i'd love to see him in something dark...because i never have, and i know how effing amazing he would be. i think with the right director he could kill the hell out of shakespeare...wasn't he supposed to do hamlet somewhere sometime? isn't it in an interview...he turned down hamlet to do....and i'm blanking. something. i'd actually REALLY love to see him try his hand at Orin in Mourning Becomes Electra...wow...such a weak character with some FABULOUS moments...he'd effing KILL it. GAH.

Eight times a week? I don't even know.
Do you guys think it is a possibility that he might take a long break after Chitty like he did with The Normal Heart. I just have this feeling....
I wouldn't be surprised.

I want him to do what is best for his health. But I'll miss the hell out of him if he dissapears like he did after The Normal Heart.
I can't blame him for taking time off after Normal Heart. It had to have emotionally drained him. Chitty...well, I doubt the role itself would affect his decision to take time off. Personal reasons maybe? I hope he bounces back with something interesting. He likes to change up his characters in so many ways, I can't wait to see what he picks next. (I'm sure he can choose from what he wants...right?)

Absolutely. I think that rest made for a much happier Raul. Hence Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
I would think so. If I were playwrites, I'd be sending that man sripts left and right!
And if one just so happen to call for a neud scene, so be it...
I love you. Now I'm in happy visual land...mmmm....

Well, you know...
Is there any news on when Find Me Guilty is supposed to open? I noticed that Daina Dimarzio from Sweeney Todd is gonna be in the film as well.
I know he was *supposed* to do Hamlet, I think in Chicago at one point, but he turned it down for.... something which I can't remember right now.
Nude scene -- in all seriousness, I knew it was there, but I had no idea that it was within the first ten minutes of the play. I was also expecting that it would be in some sexual context, not like that. It was honestly really jarring.
He could take another long break -- and without him OR Adam, I'd... be a sad little fangirl.

Wasn't really referring to the nude scene in The Normal Heart. I for one, had absolutely no idea it was there. It shocked the pants off me. And I actually couldn't watch it. Without even thinking, I automatically looked down at my feet.
Has he... had other nude scenes? I watched, because... because it was just like "BAM." Everything about that scene was so real -- down to the nudity. It was like a real examination. And it all drew you in so sharply and so quickly that... you just had to watch. That's what it did to me, anyway. I had never legitimately met him before, so I didn't feel awkward in that sense.... in the sense that I should't be seeing that, or that it was weird to see someone with whom I'd exchanged words there, totally naked in front of me.
There is NADA on Find Me Guilty.

It's still act one and I'm already in tears. He just... he's unbelievable!
Something about him just touches me. I can't explain it.
Anyway, I'm going to go finish it now.
"He's very good at touching people" - Elphie
yummy. and G - I'm so jeeealous! i wish i was listening/watching boo. i'll have to try to get my hands on a copy of this in the near future.
I was already a BIG fan of his and...yeah, he was intense. That show was intense. I wish I was watching it too...
Or eating cupcakes and watching Chitty, I need a happy mood inducer.
