Erin is just so amazing in the role. I really don't remember much about Julie B.'s performance because that was my very first time seeing the show and so I was paying more attention to the story and set design and things than to the actual actors (except for Raúl, of course).

The last time I saw the show Erin was coughing and hacking and Ellen had snot running down her nose. That was right after Raúl dropped out of the benefit. I think they were all just sharing germs at that point.

Raul, stop spreading your germs.

I didn't realize HOW good Erin was until I saw Julie B.

I remember her being all over the place with "Doll on a Music Box".

I think it's funny that we were both at the same show and didn't know it. I mean, I didn't even know it was the 100th performance until the cast came out with cupcakes and apple juice. Ha.

I agree Em. I thought Julie T was good, but Erin has these little fun moments (like Raúl does) but Julie didn't really have those...she certainly didn't phone in or anything, but she just kinda played the role as is...she didn't have any fun with it, like I think Erin does...and we ALL know Raúl does. (and Raúl was CRAZY the night I saw Julie!)

I just don't think that Erin and Raúl's personalities mesh well.

Yeah, absolutely.

Sometimes I think Erin tries too hard to get laughs. But maybe that's just me. Ah. I'm being mean. I'll hush up!

No, I get what you mean. She's funny, but a bit exaggerated. It's also hard to work with someone whose every move is so natural.

You know, that probably has a lot to do with it. I never thought of it that way.

That could be my own over-exaggeration of how good he is, but I think it's a factor. I mean, that's like opposite Cherry Jones, the entire Doubt cast, even though they're all AMAZING actors... they all LOOK like they're acting, whereas she doesn't.

no it totally makes sense...he -lives- his characters, whereas everyone else -acts- thier character...it's hard to compete with ridiculously natural talent like that.

After doing such a HUGE show like Chitty, I think it would be nice to see him in a much smaller and more personal theatre setting.

That seems to be his element. If he's anything of a creature of habit, he'll run back to that.

Maybe it's a stretch, but I think he could have done wonders with the role of Katurian in The Pillowman.

ROTFLMAO.

A Transexual Brazilian Dwarf...ahahahaa.

Maybe, if they make Johnny and the Sprites into a musical, he can play a sprite....

hahahaha. I definately hope his next project is something smaller like G said. Especially since I haven't SEEN him in a setting like that, I'd like to see it for completely selfish reasons! haha.
