Well, I don't think I've ever sat on something QUITE so jolly before.

Nothing's really the matter, it's just that I have to make a tough decision. I have this opportunity to assistant direct a show at my school with a teacher I really love, but it's a huge time commitment, and I have a job that takes up two of my afternoons. When I took the job, I told them I would be trying out for shows and that I might have to miss a few weeks, but no that it is a reality, it's going to be really tough to leave my kids, even though I have a co-teacher and would still be seeing them once a week. The director is making it much easier for me by saying i wouldn't have to be there everyday, but it's just such a big choice. I REALLY want to do it, but...so, yeah.
I've just discovered the joys of the library during lunch break.
Many of my friends are sick today.

Well, it is your last year home, so maybe you should try to do everything while you have the chance, if you think it wouldn't stress you out too much.
I think I have a cold. I hope that's all it is, because a lot of people are sick.

Yeah, stress is a BIG factor, because right now there are two days when I don't get home until 6, but the other days I get home at 4:10. But, if I did the play, I wouldn't be getting home until 6:10 everyday, which would cause more stress. HOWEVER, I will be doen with college applications by the time rehearsals start, so it might even out.
Feel better. Colds SUCK. I had a horrible one last week, but it only lasted 3 days, thank GOD.

I haven't stopped sneezing all day. I really want to enjoy this weekend. This sucks.
That's true, though -- the applications take up forever.

I seriously though my head was going to fall off. HAve you taken any medicine? What sucks about most of them is that either they make you drowsy, or they are for different symptoms.
I've only completed ONE application! I have to do 4 or 5 more. *die*

Hehe...say it with Smuckers! And Chrys, the contrast in yours and Em's avatars makes me laugh.
You guys are making me feel lazy. I applied to ONE college and I filled it out the night before I had to mail it in. It was early decision, so if I hadn't gotten in, I probably wouldn't have been screwed, but...
Good luck!

That's really brave...
I applied to ELEVEN schools. ELEVEN.

Posted: 11/3/05 at 5:13pmBrave? Nah. I wanted to go to NYU, so I applied to NYU. If I hadn't gotten in, I probably just would have...well....hmm. Maybe community college for a year then transfer? Whatever, no use wondering about might-have-beens. And eleven, Em? You're a smart gal, you didn't have anything to worry about. Unless you just wanted options, which I understand.
#6967a complex fellow
Posted: 11/3/05 at 5:18pmYeah, I think I did just want options.

Posted: 11/3/05 at 5:28pmELEVEN???!!! Geez. That's expensive. And time consuming. Were most of them common apps?

Posted: 11/3/05 at 5:53pmAs of now, I'm applying to 5, but I need one or two more "targets/safeties." I'm actually at school now waiting for college night to start and doing some homework. Going to meet reps...aah! I hate meeting reps!

Thanks.
Aren't these applications crazy? It's the over-editing that kills me. I don't mind, and actually often enjoy, writing the essays the first few times.

Posted: 11/3/05 at 6:54pmWhat's even worse is over-editing with my FATHER. He is SO nit-picky. But I do realize that he helps me a lot, so I appreciate it.
