Got a chance to see this movie over the weekend and thought it was fantastic. It's the first horror movie that actually scared me in a long time.
It's nice to see a horror film that doesn't rely on cheap scares and gore to shock the audience. And Belén Rueda gives one of the best performances of the year. Anyone else see it?

Posted: 1/3/08 at 10:19amThe movie has del Toro's stamp on it. It's the best movie I've seen since last years Pan's Labyrinth...and that's saying a lot. And I think it has two of the most frightening sequences I've seen on film.
