"The Other"

on Fox Movie Channel right now (Time Warner Manhattan Ch. 257) - creepy horror classic with Uta Hagen, Portia Nelson, Victor French, and John Ritter.

This was one of my favorite books as a kid.

the title is THE OTHER. the movie is worth watching, but not so great. the novel, however, by TOM TRYON, is indeed one of the best!

re: 'The Others'

The Other is a spectacularly creepy book by the late, Great Tom Tryon. He also wrote Harvest Home, made also into a creepy made for TV horror film which made an indelible imprint on me.

Thanks for reminding me Rath-- they'd be perfect pre halloween reads!

re: 'The Others'

Rented this to show to joeyjoe recently - one of my favorites from my childhood. Great acting all around and a wonderfully creepy story that is perfectly plausible. That's the best kind of scarey out there!
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
