Whenever yr buddy borstal feels beaten down and out, he always cheers himself with the incredible story and general awesomeness of Peg Leg Bates, the great performer who lost his leg in a mill accident at age 12 and went on to become one of the great tap dancers in history.

We covered him in a tap seminar I took this past semester. What he could do with that apparatus/prosthetic was amazing. His sounds are so clear! It's incredible that he didn't let the loss of a leg impede his drive to become a tap dancer.
