it's for gymnastics... i'm used to using a table, (the white one) to vault and i have my whole set-up for that already, but my school doesn't feel like buying one, so we're stuck with an old horse (the long brown one). the horse isn't the international regulation vault anymore, and i haven't used one in 5 years.
3.5 ft = distance of springboard from the vault, 65.4 = how far away from the vault i start my run. if my footing is even SLIGHTLY off i mess up. i FINALLY got my footing right today, so i don't want to forget it.
so there's gymnastics vaulting 101.

I was told this person does not want to be "looked at" and certainly not spoken too (unless you're shooting the scene I would imagine...)

i'm really happy i finally worked out my vault problem... but now i have to finish choreographing and perfecting my floor routine, and the first meet is a week from today (well, yesterday)... YAY.

nope not Steven Segal....
does he really have the juice to behave so stupidly?
not that the behavior is ever justified...

the new one is MUCH easier. i'm so used to reaching my hands to the end of the table (otherwise you hit your head on the way over). now if i reach far to the end of the horse, my hands end up on the landing mat behind the vault. you have to aim PERFECTLY otherwise your hands miss. oh, i've had my share of wipeouts in the past few days...
EDIT - to fix my massive run-on...

when I used to run track I had shin splints and I was jumping hurdles and, well, my leg gave it and I tripped over the hurdle (which was my first time - and I had done hurdles for a while go figure)

wow -beka i'm impressed....
i've always admired people who "bounce" (as we call the tumblers and gymnists that do stage...) - and by "we" I mean me and my particular gang...

i really don't understand this guessing game you guys are all playing...
Aww Thanks RaceTrack.. I appreciate that.. I just dont deal with bad days very well. Especially when I am known as the resident little miss sunshine, so when I do have a bad day everyone asks me whats wrong etc.. They just love to comment on how it's all wrong..
I'm much better now actually..
Yeah very little escapes me in that respect.

heh, i don't bounce. i'm actually pretty bad. someone who has olympic aspirations would have to be at the level i am now at age 15 at like age 9. the closest gym to me is 45 minutes, an hour and a half during rush hour, so i never really had proper instruction.
