i didn't see it either...
i'd rather watch porn....
Ah, my people are very sexual. We're so earthy, after all.

bso - yes - but phallic pieces are suggestive and not the same as actual nudity... (which they probably had back then as well - who knows...)
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/8/04
well, back then, everything was nude - they just didn't know it was wrong

<----- on her own. (ewww)
That was the last one, promise!
And, what??? The warm milk has evaded the FBI?? Probably living it up in Rio as we speak.
And yeah, nudity - while fun, I wouldn't be able to help but think 'Look! There's so-and-so naked!' It breaks character, dontchathink?

exactly -
and why is it wrong?
i mean - if society were different.....
I'm just worried Ellie, cuz no confirmation of capture has been made..
**cringes**
I always get uncomfortable when people get naked onstage. The worst was Equus.

...or rather people would one day say it is wrong ---

exactly ellie..
such a paradox...
our standard is clothed - but is that natural?
yes protection from the elements is necessary....
but what do you guys think - society has gone from loincloth to totally covered to today when anything goes...
I saw a show called Kept in Mountain View a few years back. It was in preview mode and there was some female nudity in it.. topless, and then she did a full costume change on stage shrowded by other actors..

I just found my mom's playbill from the original Equus - as well as Fiddler, Cabaret (well, after Joel Grey left), Chicago (Jerry Orbach and Chita Rivera)....and loads of other shows!

You have me scared, Cam...I guess I'll just have to keep checking downwithmilk.com, and the hourly updates on CNN.

way cool bso! hang onto those...
I love when parents save Playbills. One of my fondest memories was bringing an original Godspell playbill to a stage door to show Lynne Thigpen, who was delighted to see it and engaged me in conversation for at least half an hour. I was so sad when she passed away!
Society tells us it's wrong, but it's just the human body. WE are the same, yet all different.. just like what makes breasts so taboo?
I'm so afraid Ellie.. what if it comes after me? I think I saw a threatening message in the fridge. I screamed and shut the door as quick as I could.. SO I'm not sure.. the task force hasn't arrived yet to investigate.

If clothes save me from seeing Old Man Dangly Bits, then they're fine by me.
Hang in there, Cam...I had a nightmare last night...you know in The Shining, with the river of blood coming down the hall...well, it wasn't blood, it was....
*faints*
