wow ntg - i don't know how to tell you how to talk like a 19 yo latina junkie...
do you know any?
is there a latin/american community near you?
even spanish soaps might help....? maybe...
i guess the best thing to do is simplify... pare her language down to the least possible words to create the same images...
the best was the dialouge - simple, clean and to the point.
try that with the narrative passages too..
You should see some of ntg's other stuff
I hate to interrupt, but I need some opinions
I'm auditioning for a regional production of 'Hair' in a few weeks. I'm 17, have a 2nd tenor-ish range, and I've never auditioned for anthing ouside a school musical (which I've never had to prepare a song for, because I'm one of the 3 guys in the whole school who can actually sing/act, so parts are basically handed to me).
I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP. I have no idea what I'm doing.
I need 2 songs, one broadway and one of my choice, and I have no idea where to even begin
any other pointers would be greatly appreciated
I don't really exapect to actually get cast, but I do plan on really trying and I don't want to make a total fool of myself

Nothing much. Avoiding doing college essays like the plague(which is also a book. Hated that book. Totally random thought)
My holiday was very good. Quiet time with the family.

race i already pm'd blaze...
one audition tip you should all keep in mind
NEVER DO NEW MUSIC!!!!
unless it's a callback and they gave you something to learn...
ALWAYS DO SONGS YOU KNOW WELL AND ARE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH!!
no way you can "act" or "perform" with any gusto when you're searching for melody and lyrics to a song you barely know....
That's true. I learned my lesson from one experience I've had with that. Lol.

OMG being on the opposite side of the table is difficult.. Trust me on that one.. but we also have some good laughs once the auditionee leaves the room.. it's terrible but true..

I did that with auditions for our annual drama festival and the most memorable audition happened on the first day with this girl who came into the room in character and she didn't introduce herself and then go into character. Thinking back on it I remember she scared the sh*t out of all of us because of the character and everything. Then our teacher made her come back in the room after she had left and do her introduction as herself. It was rather funny looking back on it.

we had that - this girl came in all annoying for her character
we casted (cast?) her in the role - then found out she IS annoying in real life
