i have to admit cam - i like NYC much better now that i DON'T live there....
when i first got there (at the tender age of 1 it was the be-all and end-all of all cities!!
but it got old as i did
(and paying for it does NOT ROCK!)
happy trails to you, until we meet again.. happy trails..
Ok done now..

I agree...but I like being "in the heart of it"
Plus, I hope (::crosses fingers round and round::) to be working somewhere on Bway - yes I know - lost dreams that will never come true...
but, hopefully, i will be in Russian in a few years - hope to get BWW there lol
well I want to visit, not necessarily live there.. then again that could change once I visit..

and the more i like being there, the more i want to go to school there, and the more i dislike where i am going now - even though it's a good school and i like my professors...
it just feels like i am going in the opposite direction of where theatre is...i mean i am going from NYC to PA...
um BSO its ok to dream, and who are you or any of us to say it won't happen..

nah, it's just i know how many people want to be working on bway and how many people actually do work on bway...
Still BSO~ shos to say you aren't one of the ones that will make it?

bso - why should you say your dreams won't come true...
we wouldn't be having this convo if i had thought that way!

thanks...
it's mainly the fact that i wanted to be a doctor - and now wanna be working in theatre...

to be honest bso - i tell all my students that if they can be happy doing something else - then run! run away from this life!!! as fast as your little feet can carry you...
but - if it's your true passion (as i believe it is for you....) then you'll never be happy doing anything else...
trust me - i know..
BSO there is no room for pesimism in that industry.. There will always be some one out there younger hotter fresher, better than you. That's the beauty of life, but you also have to remember that you are younger hotter fresher, better than others.. YOu have to believe in yourself..
One of my favorite past times has been proving people wrong when they say I can't do something.. I'll do it jsut to prove them wrong.. People my family tell me I can't do things all the time.. That's why it's important to believe in yourself!

that's exactly how it is for me - i was always interested in science, but really couldn't see myself as a doctor...i did an internship with my pediatrician and it just didn't interest me...but working in the theatre was fun and i couldn't pull myself away from it...
then when i went to the tony's, that REALLY confirmed any doubts about going into the theatre world...

you tell him cam!!!
*can't family be a major drag? - these are the people who supposedly "love" you ....*

well bso - it's a hard life - no doubt ...
i hope you have a trust fund or something
but - for all the sacrifices i've made over the years... i wouldn't trade it - i'm not happy doing anything else... and i've tried everything else... lol!

thanks cam - i hope you do prove me wrong and i can get up on the radio music hall stage and say, cam proved me wrong!
(now, dreaming too far)

out of all my students i had 50% really hitting it for a while...
now it's down to about 3%....
but that's higher than the percentage of actors that actually work... (2%)
one of my girls is really doing well - working steady - which is the name of the game - but she always had that determination...
it's really about perserverance - talent? w/e
most of us have talent - it's can you LAST.....
Well BSO~ when you make it I damn well better get a nd from you!! haha..
