she has an amazing instrument but i just got too saturated with her sound that year...

Fredi, did you know that before the casting was announced, there was some speculation about Queen Latifah playing Joanne in the movie? Dunno how I feel about that. I think she's got the right attitude and acting chops, but her voice isn't quite Joanne material. (Even though I adore Latifah.)

no i didn't know that - but that would have just been pure stunt casting... (you can't tell me she looks that much younger than me...she's NOT that much younger than me...)

besides - the only movie I'm interested in her doing is MINE!!

she's got the script.... only time will tell. - but I wrote her a GREAT role - any blacktress would kill for it!

(And no, she does not look that much younger than you, I don't think, but I haven't seen any recent photos of you when you aren't Rafiki, and I think it's safe to say I shouldn't judge your current look based on that. )

but I'll say it's a suspense thriller (a la ENEMY OF THE STATE) and she's the "Will Smithesque" lead in this one...
