Has anyone seen this? It is an unbelievable piece of work in so many ways. If DiCaprio doesn't win the Oscar for this they shouldn't give one out.

Hated everything about it but the cinematography. Not sure why DiCaprio deserves an Oscar for it. He's played far more emotionally dynamic characters just as convincingly. Watching him moan and growl for 2.5 hours didn't impress me at all. I do agree that it's unbelievable.

Sounds like "Catwoman" shot in the Serengeti with a fight to the death sequence between Halle Berry's character and a real big cat who had eaten Sharon Stone alive.
Is Leo's on-screen character out of character for a 19th century frontiersman? I'll try to check it out tomorrow. I'm hoping there's something more intriguing about the movie than a sadistic film shoot.
