I don't know about you guys, but I am a big THE SANTA CLAUSE trilogy fan. I own four copies of both The Santa ClausE and The Santa ClausE 2 each, I have written numerous fan-fiction involving the characters of the trilogy, and have also recently started getting into Santa ClausE role-play.

And now, with the release of the third installment in this incredible triptych of film-making, I am alternately met with sadness that I will never see these characters again and happiness that the third installment is so fulfilling. Martin Short's Jack Frost is an excellent addition to The Santa ClausE mythology bringing with him a rather dark and brutal mindset. Some scenes in here rather surprised me with their intensity. Yes, this is a much darker film, much like THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, in which Santa is forced to do battle with the pathologically violent Frost. Short's performance drips with intensity and I wouldn't be surprised if he took home a Best Supporting Actor Oscar come February.

The characters are all back, all a little older and wider, and are ready for one final installment.

And it all leads up to an ending that is heart-wrenching and mind-blowing in its intensity. I don't want to give anything away, suffice to say that it brought a tear to my eye as the whole beautiful story concluded.

And now as the full view is seen, it is clear that The Santa ClausE Saga is one of the greatest achievements in film-making. Few film-makers have the cojones or ambition to attempt a project of this magnitude, and yet Directors John Pasquin and Michael Lembeck have not only attempted but have succeeded. Bravo!

Eh, it's probably a so-so movie. The original one is good, though!

This is the best film of the year. Even moreso than The Departed.

I *HOPE* that the original thread was insincere...re: The Santa ClausE 3: At Last, The Saga Is Complete!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

That Mrs. Clause, the lovely Elizabeth Mitchell, (Who played lady lovers in both Gia and ER) appears to be going into labor. How can Santa have a baby??? That just ain't supposed to happen. When does this open anyway?

I guess that Tim Allen decided not to make good movies. Interesting career path, Tim. Maybe I would have chosen Zoom as well.

The movie came out on Friday and I must say that it was probably the worst film I have scene in a LONG time. I was very disapointed! I expected it to be much wittier than it was! It was just kinda "blah" throughout the whole movie. However 1 and 2 were WONDERFUL!

Santa Clause 2 is really one of my favorites. I love it. Haven't seen the third but I hope to soon.

See the third one now. You will be treated to the most sublime cinematic experience since Dukes of Hazzard.

Anyone who goes to see this film and EXPECTS it to be good is just setting themselves up for disappointment. I mean, come on, i'ts the third in a kid's-movie trilogy. It's not GOING to be good. Hell, I didn't even see 2 becuase I knew it wouldn't be good. Never liked Tim Allen anyway. Sad thing is, we all know this movie is going to be a huge hit.

Haha. Well I guess I'll just be seeing the third to complete the experience, and not to see a good movie.

But is has Elizabeth Mitchell! (The only reason I had to see the second.) Her little fat dance at the end was worth sittting through the whole second movie for me...lol.

How big is Ann-Margret's part in the movie?

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
