Harry Shearer has said that The Simpsons cast is now recording dialogue for a Simpsons movie. It's about time!!!

Yes, but on the DVD commentary its been said that once a movie is made that the series will end.

Yeardley Smith said it would run for years because all of the writers are divorced and have lots of alimony to pay.

They renewed the series for at LEAST two more seasons already...years 18 and 19 I believe...

I'm sure it will run for a long time. I just hope the movie doesnt wreck the series. I mean I hate when you see a movie for a television show, then you see the show again and its just like blahhhh, if that made sense lol.

I honestly didn't know they were working a Simpson's movie. that's pretty exciting. I know I've followed the series for years. I can't say I'm happy to hear it end, but at least it will go out in a big way - on the big screen.

I want to see an actual Simpsons MOVIE. Not the cartoon, but a real, live-action movie. Kinda like the video someone found of real people playing Simpsons characters in the opening credits of the Simpsons.

I'm not positive about this, but I think the first 5 minutes of tomorrow's episode might be live action, like the video.
