Next week, she'll be on prominent display at the Daytona International Speedway for the big race getting face time with her base.

she keeps flirting like this and the gop establishment will smite her like the pesky fruit fly she is.

the irony is that the media keeps her alive because it feeds the impression of the gop as drooling troglodytes even as they decry her existence.

i mean she releases her effin' statements on facebook. facebook!!

as long as she can be presented as the face of the gop she's valuable to the left.

in reality, she's kinda like dennis kucinich with a few more followers: utterly unelectable, but wildly popular with the fringe.

I think it's hers to lose. usually a candidate like this does something so stupid (A meltdown scream, say) that the electorate wakes up and runs. I cannot imagine anything stupider than what she's already said and done.

it will start as a whisper campaign, joe. then the whispers will grow louder and she will address them, lie about them and her lies will do her in.

i foresee an "insider" recording her making fun of her followers or a juicy sex scandal. the followers thing is more likely.

This is going to be very interesting to watch. I can't imagine that her core base will ever be alienated from her if they haven't already been. She'll have to destroy herself in some way, via a sex tape or something like that, or a slip of the tongue where she calls Barack Obama "boy."

Unless of course we're all wrong, and she winds up being the Republican front-runner in 2012. I wouldn't put it past her to bully her way into the White House.

q, i did. when faced with the option of her or biden, i chose then and still choose her. because she's hotter. i would want neither of them in the oval office.

that said, she's political poison for the gop. i don't think she's quite as dumb as she's portrayed, but that doesn't really matter becasue the cw is that she's one step up from lennie in a skirt. she has failed to help herself appeal in anyway beyond a niche following and failed to generate any ideas. at. all.

if it's one thing the gop needs it's ideas. that's why paul ryan is so important to the gop: he's the opnly person in the party that seems to have half a brain.

i turned on her the day after the election because her presence relegates the gop to the basement of people who believe that there are black helicopters following them. plus her closet is so full of skeletons that it's like a f***ing halloween store. democrat strategists dehydrate themselves from non-stop orgasm over the prospect of her candidacy.

if she had any scruples, she'd see that and quell all the whispers of a campaign. but without those whispers, no one will want to pay her to talk and she'll end up doing japanese bukkake flicks.

roscoe, she would have to alienate them and it would have to be her doing so in her words and voice. no second-hand reports. and you think her using boy would alienate them? seriously?

Palin is not dumb, far from it, but she is shallow and seems unwilling or unable to learn ideas in which she has no interest.

I think she will implode on a heap of mental health issues. I feel that she is a genuine borderline personality and believes what she says from moment to moment. She is not wrapped too tightly in the right way.

I hope Palin is banking all that money. She will need something to live on once her pan has flashed.

Papa, Sarah using boy or another epithet wouldn't stop her base from supporting her, of course, but it would make it impossible for the other Repubs with any pretense of sense to support her. Even McCain would dump her once and for all.

Unless he wouldn't, of course. It's entirely possible that they'd still be with her. It'd be a great show to watch McCain and Rush et al tie themselves into knots excusing Sarah Palin's use of language like that.

Who knows. There's just no way of knowing how this is going to turn out. I fully expect Sarah to be our next President.

You're about to lose the one other that fits the bill, Ron Paul. He's being tea-bagged to death down in TX. Perhaps, things will balance out if his son Rand is successful in his bid to get the vacant Senate seat from KY. Nearly forgot, it's a foregone conclusion in that Sister Sarah has come out in support of the younger Paul.

No way will she be the candidate of the GOP. If anything, she would be the candidate of a third party.

But there are too many subsections of the GOP that detest her: the fiscally concervative/libertarian wing and the National Review conservative intelligentsia.

They get very little media and they're under the radar, but they would never have her as presidential candidate.

It seems that we all agree now that she'll never be taken seriously by the paleocons & Bill Kristol-types which PalJoey alluded to. McCain at the top to the ticket last time was a hail mary pass to begin with. She wouldn't survive the first debate for the party nomination. And after Hillary's rousing run, none of her male peers in contention would have pity on sister sarah. She'd be the second one carted off the field, after some teabagger/birther/david duke-clone of course.
