Are there any actors who you think would have benefited from the studio system still being around? If you think about the grooming, singing lessons, dancing lessons, and acting classes that the studios provided, it's hard to imagine certain actors not having more successful careers.
I've always thought that Kari Wuhrer had it; that special undefinable quality that the greatest stars possess. Kari started out in the mid 80s (her film debut was Fire with Fire with Virginia Madsen in 1986) and subsequently found her way to MTV. After getting her boobs done, she landed some movie roles, some of which were okay and others that wasted her and/or used her as window dressing.
Kari's a decent actress, imo. She's clearly having fun in movies like Anaconda and Eight Legged Freaks. She also has a pretty acceptable singing voice, which she displayed on an album titled "Shiny" in the mid 90s.

I don't know about actors, but the public certainly would benefit. No obnoxious tweeting. The studios held a tight rein on them
Travolta would have benefitted. Wouldn't be in the PR mess he's in today.
