I used to LOVE watching this every year - it's just so . . . BIG! And talk about camp! It cracked me up when the queens in TO, WONG FOO used Anne Baxter in it to show how to act

Oh, I don't know - I just assumed. To me, there can be only one!
"Oh, Moses, Moses, Moses . . ."

Posted: 4/15/06 at 8:14pmI adore this but Moses does look like a Ken Doll.

Posted: 4/15/06 at 8:17pmmy mom and i watch it every year, but the past 3 we've missed it. we didn't think it was on this year, so my mom bought it yesterday so we could watch it tonight. so we're gonna watch the dvd. it'll probably still end before the broadcast.

Posted: 4/15/06 at 8:22pmI find it so interesting that the powers that be would show such a biblical movie... then I remember who the powers that be are, and it makes more sense! It is an amazing movie though. In my mind's eye, Moses will always look like Charlton Heston. :)

Edward G. Robinson as the slave owner is a howl - especially with with leather-queen buddy Vincent Price.
And the truth is, I probably watched it every year just to watch John Derek slide down that rope!

#15re: The Ten Commandments
Posted: 4/15/06 at 9:03pmI used to think you had to look like Moses or Ben Hur if you were going to be saved! Everybody else was obviously hell-bent.

Glebb - Anne ALWAYS went after what she wanted with a passion!
Mamie - I already knew I was headed to Hell - but that would certainly seal the deal

Posted: 4/15/06 at 9:15pmI see Adelaide (Martha Scott) from THE TURNING POINTE is the mother of Moses.

Posted: 4/15/06 at 9:15pmOf course if you sounded like Cecil B. DeMille when you talked, it meant you WERE God! (I lost out there too)
