I'm trying to read a book for my exam and I'm having such a hard time following it.

Thanks Bohemian, I'm trying.
My life too, Em. Sigh.
Things are starting to get better for me. I hope that they do for all of you too!
This month needs to be over. Then at least SOME of my problems will be cleared up.

Nooo once this month is over it becomes birthday month for me.
And this is the first one I'm NOT looking forward to.
Are you still worried about your birthday, Em? I don't think that you need to be.

Em, you're worried about your birthday too? Why?
Not worried, really; I mean, it's not like my head is doomed to explosion, or something. I just.... am not thrilled. In a "ew, I'm getting old" kind of way. Plus, I don't like birthdays much.

I only asked 'cuz I'm going through the same thing. As in, I'm not thrilled about another year older either.
You don't need to 'not thrilled' about your birthday specifically. You get older every day. I don't know, I'm not helping. I'll let you know what I feel like when I'm turning 20.

Ah, 20. I'd give a lot to be turning 20. Not that I'm SO much older, but I don't know...22 seems really old to me for some reason. It seems like that age where I should have certain things figured out, which I certainly don't.
heh, you are right, Bohemian. It's just sort of like "do I need a day to be reminded?" I'm one of those people who has a running history of crappy birthdays, too.
I've also had my fair share of crappy birthdays. Here's hoping that this is a great year for all of us.
I have one paper due ON my birthday and one due the following day.

I don't think this year's birthday could possibly be worse than my last year's birthday, so at least there's that. Here's hoping for all of us to have a non-miserable birthday. :)
Is yours coming up, too?
It's a beautiful day outside. Which means my allergies (and current sinus problems) are killing me. I feel so lazy skipping class, but I was seriously too miserable to make it earlier.
In attempting to re-organize my home office, I have turned my apartment into a disaster area... I need to get things put back in their place so I can entertain again SOON!
I hate not being guest-ready!
I'm late for class. *leaves*

Mine is May 4th...nearer than I'd like. But at least I won't be in tech week this time, unlike the last THREE YEARS.
Me too, Skittles. I missed an important class with a very unsympathetic professor, and while I'm racked with guilt and anxiety I honestly couldn't make it. So don't feel bad. Your health is more important.
That happened to me last week. I missed this big in-class group assignment because I couldn't lift my head up. The professor only accepts absenses with a doctor's note. The health center refuses to give notes and tells you to work it out with your professor. So...yeah.

Sounds like my health center. It's amazing how many college health centers seem to share similar principles of incompetence.

Em, if you're old, what does that make me?
