Banality is closer to Godliness.

I'm a bitch every day.
And then, do you know Monseiur Marius, I believe I was a little in love with you.

saw RENT tonight...it was absolutely effing amazing.

(perhaps this isn't very banal)
"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

Still cold, but at least the driveway is cleared! Happy Monday all.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

I had to wait 30 minutes for a 1 train this morning. Not only was I 25 minutes late for work, but I also got to get really friendly with a bunch of strangers. It also gave me a chance to ponder how very rude many people who take public transit are.

Yes there was room in the middle, however shoving the people near the door into each other is not going to move the people in the middle of the car. Also wondering aloud if anyone on the train speaks English just makes you look like an a**.

I hate telecharge.com
They will allow me to buy NEW tickets to The Color Purple, and then will refund the price for what I did not get to see yesterday as all flights were cancelled.......but being out of state, I have NO idea when I'll be able to get there, hence cannot say a specific date. So now I have to write it all down and send it to this manager...ARRGH
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

My school loan check was supposed to come in the mail today. It didn't and it upsets me. I have had to wait a ridiculously long time as it is.

This is admittedly very banal, but the 't' key on my laptop is really hard to push. It's really slowing down my typing. Banality is closer to Godliness.

Reading Bush's economic plans might make my eyeballs bleed in a few minutes.

I would probably just use it for stress relief.

OMG THE OTHER DAY. They woke me up with their VACUUM. At like 7. GRR.

Okay, so banal!

Today, I had to go pick something up at 98th street. I took the subway down to 96th, but the steps were TREACHEROUSLY slippery, and I really didn't want to go down them again, so I figured I would take the bus back. But the bus stops were blocked from the sky-high piled snow. So I figured I woud just keep walking, hoping the next bus stop wouild be cleared. I ended up just walking back. gr.

I think I have a slight fever.

And Em, I got woken up this morning by someone crinkling a plastic bag outside my door for about 5 minutes. I wish I was joking.

OH. Yesterday, my neighbors were singing that song from The Sound of Music -- the one with the goat puppets and the yodeling. Then they sang some other song in "four part harmony" which was really like four dying sheep. They were so off-key. Then, they sang "opera."
