I'm watching my computer copy files from one server to another. It's so much fun.

Love it! I'll have no money in about a month, but I'm spending it all on good stuff. :) Tomorrow I have a very ambitious St. Paul's/Shakespeare's Globe/Tate Modern day planned. Unfortunately, it involves getting up before noon.

<---Only woke up today because there was a fire alarm at 9:45.

Oh, how fabulous! I ventured past the Globe on the way to Tate Modern, and I wish I'd have time to take a look. Tate Modern is an EXCELLENT museum - I can't believe it's free! I ate lunch on the steps of St. Paul's. I would've liked to take a peak inside but they charge what I remember being a fairly hefty admission fee! (Are you walking over the Millennium Bridge? It's a pretty view, but I made the mistake of walking from...I think it was over the Tower Bridge to Tate Modern, and that was a longer walk than I expected! If you have time for a leisurely walk, a big loop from Tower to Tate/Globe over the Millennium Bridge to St. Paul's would be great!)

Yep, I want to take the Millenium Bridge route, but I'm saving the Tower for another day, I think.

Now, a dilemma. Proof is showing at the London Film Festival at 10:30pm tomorrow and at 1pm Monday. What to do? Risk taking a night bus home by myself or skip both of my classes on Monday? Argh. It has to come out in general release right after I leave, right?

ETA- You know what? Nevermind. This festival is useless to me. I can't pay $20 for a movie ticket! Stupid discounts that only apply to matinees. Updated On: 10/21/05 at 07:34 PM

Is that US$20 or GBP20?

The handle on my radiator is stuck.

I can't turn it open to get heat.

Neither could my neighbor.

Congratulations Rath!

My weekend so far:

I fell asleep at 5pm last night and got up at 11am. Being sick is boring.

It's raining and I have to walk a mile to the theater tonight.

I desperately need to do laundry but the payment machine in my building is broken.

My little brother turned 16 today and I'm feeling old.

That's like setting a building on fire and wondering why people are complaining about the heat.

Yes, but you see, this moron thinks that when (s)he does something malicious and others object, the fault lies with the objectors.

So I guess there's no reason mentioning that the "walk into a building on fire and complain about the heat" metaphor doesn't make sense in this situation. Because how were we supposed to know someone was posting nonsense in a thread before opening it?

hehe. Point out where (in this thread) I objected with something you said or chastised you for being "wrong"?

I'm sure you'll have great difficulty finding an instance where I find any fault that lies within what you have said, since that never happened......

1. Work on your reading comprehension.
1.a) I'm the one who found fault, obviously.
1.b) Since your response to my request not to distort the board was something less than polite or, well, responsive, I'm going to assume your extended HAHAwhateverthe**** was malicious.

What's sad, Plum, is that this same poster had exhibited the same behavior of elongating a post on the main board. When that was met with negative feedback I guess they decided to test the waters on the off-topic board. I suspect their motivation was just to get a reaction. Why else gloat and comment on how long until their post is deleted.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

Malicious - adj. motivated by or resulting from a desire to cause harm or pain to another

Hmmm...

1. Work on YOUR reading comprehension.
1.a) You ARE the one who found fault, obviously. I, obviously, never objected or "blamed" you for anything
1.b) My post was a joke. It was silly. It was unoriginal. It was boring. It was.......banal....banal.....where have I heard that before??

Oh yes. This happens to be the "banal thread".

Don't take so much offense. It's quite selfish of you. banal thread
