I've never seen the Raquel Welch version.
Any opinions/stories?

I like the Richard Lester version of THE THREE MUSKETEERS and THE FOUR MUSKETEERS (which covers the second half of Dumas' novel) a lot. I was surprised when I read the book earlier this year how closely it follows the novel. A lot of what looked like throwaway gestures are directly from the book. Seen now, it is a bit dated in some ways, and there are some rough patches especially in the second film. But there's a lot of great fun in them, still. I actually watch them on DVD.
