Posted: 10/8/11 at 2:50pmYou definitely want to get there earlier than they say. I have never tried it for The View, but I would imagine the further you are back in line, the less likely you are to getting in. The View is also a very popular show.

Posted: 10/8/11 at 4:03pmThey give out your number for possible stand by tickets at 8:00. You want to get there at least 6 a.m. The last time I did standby I arrived at 6. There were already two people in line. Only six of us got in. There are no guarantees. The best time to do is Thursday, when they tape Friday show also. If you do not get in supposelly for the Thursday show they "guarantee" you get in for Fridays. But you are commiting alot of time. Also if it is bad weather it is a little easier to get in. At the tapings, everyone in the audience gets a gift. Last June, they pulled us from Regis & Kelly for the Thursday (Friday ) taping. Everyone in the audience received a $75 Best Buy gift card, $300 Sephora make-up and hair products, a $150 Curing iron with a built-in MP3 player, and Nellie Olson's (Little House On The Prarie) book. The gifts vary from show to show. The taping before me only got a cd. Good luck.
