not to sure...
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

re: The West Wing...

Mom-a six-year run? His second-term election came during the fourth season, in the episode called "Election Night." Then he would still have four more years... Maybe I'm just confused...
Why do we play with fire? Why do we run our fingers through the flame? Why do we leave our hands on the stove, although we know we're in for some pain? -tick...tick...BOOM!

re: The West Wing...

They are running a little more ahead time wise (many shows do) There a re a couple of great books out there One is a set of scripts one of them is the pilot episode.

re: The West Wing...

not to speak for mom, jess, but more(or less,as the case may be)time passes in the course of show's time in some seasons than in others...for example(and said examples are not accurate),say in season 1,6 months might have gone by,but in season 5, 2 years might have passed.
And,mom-there's 2 books of scripts-sorkin culled his favorite episodes for them....

cap, I am getting way too sleepy and the alarm goes off way too early here. I trust that you can explain better than I

re: The West Wing...

Well, if time passes differently in different seasons, then why would it be restricted to six seasons? Couldn't time just pass differently? If two years can span four years, as this conversation is suggesting, then it wouldn't be limited to the six years...

re: The West Wing...

different situation-I think the 6 years comes from contractual issues and the projected longevity of the show. The writers,as a result, have outlined the structure of the show so that bartlett's 2 terms only cover 6 years-not quite sure where I read about this-TvTome,maybe-they have a great west wing site-sorry if I've thoroughly confused you,jess....

re: The West Wing...

Oh, well, if the issue was contract, then that makes complete sense. I thought the issue was that because it was his second year in office when the show started, it couldn't be more than six years time-wise. We were talking about two different issues in that case, and i'm no longer confused. If that is indeed what you meant, mom...

Her post
But it would be only a sixyear run since they startedf the show half way through Bartlet's first term in office.
made it seem like she meant time-wise...
