Hello. I haven't really been here in months, but a friend asked me to get the word out, so I figured it can't hurt.
"The Word Begins", a show by Steve Connell and Sekou tha Misfit (of Slam Poet fame), will be playing at Joe's Pub tonight at 7 pm.
Here's the blurb in case you're interested:
"The Word Begins is a two-man show, directed by Robert Egan, that celebrates the spoken word, the human heart and the challenging world of America today. Steve Connell and Sekou (tha misfit) are two of this country's premiere spoken word artists.
