What an interesting perspective. I'm not sure I always get that from professed Christians. Would that they could read and learn.

Does she have any verified miracles attributed to her? That's key to the entire canonization process.

Yep Namo, I have a fascination for this subject. There was a book a few years back called "Making Saints" that went into the cannonization process. Sometimes, the Pope will "waive" the miracle requirement for one reason or another, usually when a saint from an under-represented area is needed; There were no American saints until very recently, despite there being millions of American Catholics who needed a patron to call upon in time of need. The Pope was urged to do anything he could to speed up the certification of US-born saints. Voila-- Elizabeth Ann Seton was sainted.

And of course, many Saints cause miracles to happen after they have become beatified or sainted, even though, at that point, they have nothing to prove!
