So they're passing legislation to ban burning of the flag. Many of the same people who don't believe in "hate crime" against people? I find the irony rather interesting. You can go to jail for hating a symbol, but not be prosecuted for hating a person?

A compelling debate topic during Gay Pride Week. You hear right wing pundits dismiss the need for protection against bias crimes, but supportive of protection for what is basically a piece of cloth, representational though it may be? The culture of life at work once again.
