at about 8 years old and was giving my mother tips on what to wear and how to style her hair....she was fabulous!
KMF...thats cute! She HAD to have known then!
I think I figured it out during Wild, Wild West! ok, now Im dating myself. But Robert Conrad and those tight pants! GRRRRRR
Bobby - *whispers* you're gay???
No Boobs, we have had this discussion....Im not gay....just REALLY REALLY HAPPY!
I was four. There is a photo of me waving to my dad while driving a car on a kiddie ride looking all gay.
Bobby is gayer than Nathan Lane in a dress dancing to 'its raining men' in a leather bar on Christopher Street while sniffing poppers. Right Bobby?
I SHOULD have know earlier whenmy mom and I would sit and watch every single figure skating competition (when TV only televised two a year) and would hold our breath as Peggy Flemming, Janet Lynn and Dorothy Hamell skated...man, I AM gay!
While holding your hand Midtown!
Seeing two men kiss for the first time when watching Death Trap at the movie theatre. Suddenly, it all made sense.
now son....I dont kiss and tell much...but lets just say he rose to the occasion! hehe
Bobby, don't worry -- I'll date myself, too.
ME: Adam West and Burt Ward in their Batman and Robin outfits, getting tied up in some episode of BATMAN. Saw it on our first color TV back in like '68 or so. I was about 6 or 7, and I remember not being able to get up from laying belly down on the floor because of major wood. Burned into my memory... I'm surprised it didn't spur on a fascination with bondage -- but it didn't.
Batman and Robin for me too....Right after school....it was about 68 or 69.....ugh...gawd Im gettin old!
jrb_actor, shouldn't it have been your first clue when you SIGNED UP for choir camp?? hello!
Ha Ha! Perhaps. All of us tenors ended up being gay. Which THEY should have known during our weekly slumber parties consisting of Truth or Dare games...

LOL!
I was obsessed with dorothy gale as a youngster..
once I hit puberty and consciously knew it -- teh first time i saw justin timberlake in nsync on tv. sad, but true.
I feel as though I've known all my life - there doesn't seem to be one specific moment - but I do have to agree that I find these gay threads boring as hell...its one thing to be gay but quite another to have to talk about it all the time, Possums.
i agree. but some on the boards are quite young, so i feel like i'm doing some community work too.
I will refer you to the carefully worded original message, which apparantly only Judy in Disguise recognized as NOT a "GAY" thread.
I am totally flumoxed as to how that original message could be mistaken for anything other than a gay thread...LOL...
Because I didn't say "When did you first know you were a big HOMO?"
The question was "when do you first know...." - that's left open to interpretation. Straight people have that same first 'spark' too.
Red....Its when we discovered we were REALLY REALLY happy!!
