So, that's what those things are called! I couldn't believe it when I saw them being sold in a regular store (I figured they were STRICTLY beach b/c ugly shoes are far more acceptable there). And then over the weekend I saw some 10 yr old boy wearing some bright orange ones with socks...poor unfortunate soul.
cturtle... I don't even understand how someone could stand on those?

I say if you like them to buy them. They were perfect for me at camp this summer. The campers made fun of them but I didn't care because they were comfortable and versatile. That's my bottom line. Comfort before fashion. I like them and I happen to own a bright orange pair. That said I don't know if I will wear them anywhere besides in the house when I go back to school, but everyone I know who has given them a chance has loved them.
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

In Hawaii, I actually saw some man in his 40's wearing them! He put the strap over his shoe rather than his ankle.
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
