Theater Road Trip....Suggestions SF to SD

This May, I am going to visit my aging father in San Diego and I am planning to do a road trip from San Francisco to San Diego.  Actually I am planning on taking greyhound or amtrak since I dont drive....

What theaters do you suggest that I could include on my itinerary on the way from San Francisco to San Diego?

So far I have the Segerstorm Theaters and of course the Ahmanson and the Pantages in LA on the way to San Diego and check out La Jolla....

Any other theaters in between San Francisco and Costa Mesa?

The San Francisco Playhouse is doing Red Velvet, which should be good.

The ACT is doing The Last Five Years, which I hate but a lot of people love.

Cutting Ball is doing Strindberg's A Dreamplay

Theatre Rhino is doing Present Laughter

NCTC is doing On a Clear Day You Can See Forever

I have Cinderella in May from Shnsf...then Newsies in San Jose

and other shows of interest but not sure yet are...

Hollywood at La Jolla

Father Back from the War at CTG

Evita and Music Man in San Diego

and other shows along the way that are kinda so so...

Hillsong United in Fresno

Celtic Woman in San Luis obispo

Jewel in Monterey

Sesame Street in Bakersfield

and still doing research on other ones... for the first 3 weeks of May
