Ask him anything you want. Life in Maine. life on the road with Hairspray. On dressing Lorna Luft. On working with Judy Tenuta. Restoration of the church. Anything you want.. just ask!
Gez, thanks. But I'm not around all that much.
Come see a show at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine this summer. We are having a ball!
Currently, Beehive is playing to packed houses. We open Cabaret July 10th with Andrea McArdle. We are doing the Sam Mendez version. After that, Hello Dolly with Sally Struthers (July 25-August 5), Cinderella with Leslie Uggams (Aug 8-26), then Menopause the Musical (August 28-Sept 16)
Fun for the whole family!
But lets have some dirt. How much does Lorna sweat? Who was nasty during Hairspray? Does Bruce really wax his back?
Lorna doesn't sweat, she glistens.
Bruse has no need to wax his back.
And there's only one person on Hairspray who was an ass... I'm finding out that he has MANY people pissed at him.
I'm leaving it at that.
Why leave it at that? Tour is over. And wasn't Cella also a bitch? Come on honey.. let it all loose. They can't hurt you now.

TD, sounds like a fun season?
Sue Chella was nothing but nice to me! I have no idea what you are talking about.
And YES, this current season in Maine is great!
probably cooler there than here, Diva.......
It IS a little muggy though....
It wasn't a darker shade of base, but it was rouged to define the face more.
Thanks for asking!
Cella was a hussy and you know it!
Is Struthers doing the role of Dolly?
No. Vandegelder.
I actually am vacationing in Ogunquit this summer, just in time to catch one of the last performances of Cinderella. I'm exicted.
Playbill,
No, there were no speakers built into the padding (That's one of the oddest things I've heard yet).
I did put a remote controlled fart machine into the purse for one performance with Jon Pinnette. That was fun!
Dame,
Sue Cella is one of the finest hussies I've ever had the pleasure of working with!
SoapGuy,
Yes, Sally is playing Dolly.
And Gypsy,
I hope you send a message backstage, or let me know what show you are going to be at so I can say hello in person!
TheatreDiva, what was the best part of having your interview posted on Corine's Corner?
PS. Did you know that Tuesday is a very special day for Corine's Corner? Want to find out what it is? Drop by www.corinescorner.com for all the details.
Is Corine Cohen related to Claudia Cohen? It never occurred to me, but is it possible?
Hmmm,
I guess the best part was the joy I got seeing my name in print (online)....
And chattig with Corine!

Is HAIRSPRAY as fun as it looks from the audience on stage? And who did you play?
Clumsy. Diva was one of the star dressers.

Oops. Sorry.
I didnt know.
Was it fun fluffying up all those fun wigs?
Did they have a wig malfuncation on stage?
I dressed the Edna character. It was just as much fun backstage as onstage! Everyone was a blast to work with. Joy Marcel was in charge of the wigs for the show and was Ednas's hair and make-up person. She and I became best of friends. She did Phantom for over 12 years and is now getting ready to go out with The Color Purple. She's coming to visit Ogunquit this summer and I can't wait to see her again!
And the was NEVER a wig malfunctin that I know of... Joy's the BEST!
Will you also be doing Purple?
Diva, where'd you get the 90016 from? It's an L.A. zip, so I thought I'd ask.
(snoop, snoop)
Also, is it Maine or Michigan from whence you hail? (bad Shakespeare "speak")
Your profile says mid-Michigan, so I was wondering if you'd spent any time at my old stomping ground, the Barn Theatre in Augusta? Spent three summers there meself learning the ropes, toting and toiling, and ultimately joining the union. It was heaven and hell on earth. Did you do any "hard time" there yourself?
Diva is from LA. he is in Maine working on some shows. I am his internet agent.
