phew - I was sweating it out there...

When I was a kid, our next door neighbor was Italian, and my parents were away one night so I had dinner at her house... she told me we were having spaghetti and gravy, and I thought it was going to be the oddest thing - brown gravy on pasta???

I LOVE Gravy (the italian kind) it so funny when we make it we have to keep each other away from the pan or we will eat it all before the spaghetti is done.

I was grasping, CM2 - next time I'm in danger of losing my FP status, I'll definitely post Rocco!

"Eating after funerals."

Yenta, we Dutch and our ham buns corner the market on that one. I think if you don't serve ham buns after a Dutch funeral, the dead person comes back and chokes you in your sleep... or something...

Well, there's the awful pinching of the face and the "You've gotten so big... look just like your fatheh," at family functions at which more relatives manage to appear.
