She's brought inestimable joy to dozens of people!
Here's hoping her one-woman show "Swizzle Swits" arrives on Broadway soon!

My Swit story:
A few years ago, she was in Chicago performing THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES. She appeared as a guest on a popular "wacky" morning radio show. Listeners kept calling in and asking about MASH. She got really bitchy, saying she didn't want to talk about MASH, she wanted to talk about the Vagina Monologues.
A few days later, one of the show's listeners sent in a recording of a song he had written in Swit's honor - sung to the tune of "Monster Mash". The lyrics to the chorus were something like this:
SHE WAS ON MASH - SHE USED TO BE ON MASH
SHE WAS ON MASH - BUT SHE WON'T TALK ABOUT MASH
SHE WAS ON MASH - SHE USED TO BE ON MASH
SHE WAS ON MASH - JUST WANTS TO TALK ABOUT GASH!

DP - I'm curious right along with Yenta - what's the Swit obsession about?

Loretta Swit is the hope and future of live theater as we know it.
Did you witness the magic she created in EDWIN DROOD?
Did you see her glorious performance in SAME TIME NEXT YEAR?
Did you join the dozens of people who who journeyed to Bucks County to see her in LOVE LETTERS?
If you can answer "yes" to all of the above, then we can talk. You know how luminous this great lady can be.
...and such unspeakable beauty!

I tried needlepoint once. I kept pricking my fingers with the needles and the blood was really messy to clean up.
