This is a weird Question/Favor

In another post, I stated I was fired from a job that I hated, and many of you told me that it was probably a blessing in disguise. Well, I think you are right. Ever since yesterday, my wife and I have been talking about moving up north to the N.J., Philly, etc. area very soon and I am going to start applying for jobs up there ASAP. The only problem is, is if I get a call back from an employer and they want to see me, I will not have a place to stay since hotels, etc. are expensive. My question to you guys is this. If it really does happen and I get a call for an interview, is there anyway that I could stay with someone for a couple of days since I have no family or anything up north?

I just applied to a few jobs and will be faxing my resume and cover letter to about 10 more come Monday. If anyone could help, I would be more than grateful. If you can help me, please PM me.
