This is why I love working in the theatre

Sorry, I hate to post personal stuff, but I thought this was just so sweet. I know the person wouldn't mind, too.

I love working in the theatre because it is my passion, but another reason is the wonderful people you meet during your different ventures. The two wonderful women that performed Kathy and Mo (a show I was the lighting designer for), Cathy and Colleen, have made this simple studio-style show the best experience of my community theatre career, and probably of my entire career. This show proved to me that money doesn't create good theatre, talent/great people do. I will never forget this experience and am SO THANKFUL I was asked to do it.

I am so upset that I cannot make the last show tomorrow. Cathy got me a gift. A keychain from South Africa along with a card. The card said:

Two years ago I went to South Africa. I found it to be one of the most awesome places in the world. Hence, I only give these gifts and cards from my "treasure chest of South Africa" to AWESOME folk that pass through my life. You, obviously, are one of those awesome folk! How fortunate we were to have you design and light our show! And to top it all off -- you became a true friend and an absolute JOY to be with.

May the "Theatre Gods" continue to bless you with your passion. You will be just fine...and then some! Thanks for everything.
