If you're going to be a proper theatre geek, you'd best be knowing your stock musical theatre characters. Kim McAfee is the ingenue lead in BYE BYE BIRDIE, Ursula Merkle is her best friend in the show. Sheesh....these babes in the woods...don't even try to research what they don't know about....

See, here's another example. "Adelaide" is referring to Miss Adelaide, the female comic lead in GUYS & DOLLS -- a show, I might add, that will be around long after WICKED has been excised from the Tams-Witmark catalogue. "Audrey" refers to the female lead in LITTLE SHOP -- a bit more modern, but nonetheless classic role in the American Musical Theatre.

Hmm... well... I did go and google them... didn't find anything. Saw Bye Bye Birdie about 5 years ago... hated it... trying to block all memories of it from my head...

I hate to point this out, but you're lying when you said you Google'd them. I just Google'd them and all the hits on both those names were related to BIRDIE.
