hey all
i've been singing classically trained for 4 years and am 15. I've been trying to expand by range which right now is about a B flat octave below middle C to G above middle C. Anything above G is easy falsetto, but i want to develop that "mix" or "belt" to get up to about B flat above middle C. Any suggestions on techniques or how to develop it, what its like etc, is GREATLY appreciated.

Well for one, allow yourself to finish puberty--seriously. You just may not have those notes yet, and you will likely hurt your voice by pushing it any farther than it is ready to go. My range has expanded in both direction since high school. Singers do not vocally mature until they are in their 30s. Plus, it just takes time to expand your range. Finally, it is indeed possible that you will never have those notes outside of your head voice.

But the key is support from your diaphragm and breathing.

I'd discuss this with your voice teacher. But, yes, you might need to mature a bit more before your range settles.

Sad to say, there will always be that one song that has those few notes outside of your range.

Purchasing and learning how to use some music transposition software would be a good investment.
