yay 3 days! NYC must be even more exciting for you guys than it is for me... and its SO CLOSE.
Hooray! I was awesome and found a room for 10/9-10/10 for $119! (Super 8 Times Square - I stayed there last year and the location is fantastic and good for the price!) I mean, I just noticed the TripAdvisor reviews from last week about the tiny bed bugs that bite people in the middle of the night and all, but hey, it's cheap and it comes with a free breakfast!
So it's Siv, me and I think Lael!

Hooray!
Watch out for the knife-wielding predators that lurk in the hallways, though.

the visit on monday is officially ON for me. YAY! tiff, i'll explain on AIM later.
where's this new hotel? walking distance from penn?
I leave for Seattle tomorrow, and arrive in New York in 2 more days!!!
Beka, good stuff! I might be in Washington tomorrow, otherwise I'll meet you online and you can tell me all the gory details.
And speaking of gory details, Siv, Nic, tonight is the night my paternal unit decided to crack out the, "You haven't met these girls [I don't think he remembered who you were, Siv] and there are a lot of evil people out there. You're just a Pollyanna in a big city." You guys might rape me, apparently. Yet I'm the one offering to spoon in a twin to earn my boarding. Go figure.
Off to pick up my brand new iPod mini (in pink! - shut up, and don't judge) in a minute! Whee!!!
I can't WAIT!
OH--- and...[hands 'Legitimate Broadway Fan' card back to BWW admin]
...I saw Mamma Mia! tonight from the worst seats I've ever had (literally, the last row of the balcony, on the very right seat against the side aisle, versus the front row centre press seats I had when the Toronto cast was in towon)...and even though the book is retarded and the "plot" and "dialogue" is absolutely ridiculous...
...I had a good time. (I'm an ABBA fan - so sue me.)
I'm humming Money, Money, Money as I type this.
Do I suck?
Money, money, money...
Must be funny...
In a rich man's world.
Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh...all the things I could do!
If I had a little money...
It's a rich man's world.
Oh, shut up.
I leave for the airport in half an hour! See you guys this weekend!
BTW, my mother just asked, "They don't know what you look like? They know you're Chinese though, right? You don't want them to meet you, and then to go, 'Oh no, she's a Chinese girl? Maybe she shouldn't stay with me anymore.'"
So JFTR, in case I haven't worn this on my sleeve, I am indeed a slitty eyed yellow skin.
YOU'RE CHINESE???????
*runs*
You want cheekeen flied lice? Cheekeen flied lice? You stoopit lesbanese!
See you tomorrow morning, Tiff. I'll be looking for the chick schlepping it down 44th w/ excessive luggage in tow!
I have GOT to unpack. How much do you think a cab costs from Shubert to Finan Dist?
I have no idea...I've taken one cab since I've been living in NYC. Guess we'll find out...and what are you talking about, "got to unpack"??? Weren't you supposed to have left by now?!?!?
Leaving in 10 minutes!
Thanks Cooks! See you Sunday!

Thanks Matty!
Oh Christ, I can't close my suitcase.
Didn't you have it all together?! What did you do!!! Sit on it! Where's your brother? This sounds like a 2 person job!
Pit stop #1 on her journey. I picked Tiff up, and went to a fab dinner, Matador, in West Seattle. With all the chatting, we didn't even notice as time went by. I was almost late to my call, I kid you not. She got on a cab after the show, and made it to the airport on time.
She's all yours now...
*scared*
YES!!
Pitstop #2 (well, guess it's more than a pitstop)...Picked Tiff up at Times Square. Hooray for making it here safe and sound!!! Let the madness begin.
Well, good. I'll assume that she's arrived safely, even though she didn't CALL me.
Er, oops!
Today was interesting. This NY heat is nearly unbearable! Caught Spamalot SRO today - enjoyed it very much. I passed my clammy Playbill to David Hyde Pierce, and apologized for the sticky moistness, saying, "Sorry, I made it a bit sticky while I was waiting for you. Er..." "I don't think I want to know." Nice.
2U tribute band...had its heart in the right place. Too bad "Bono" couldn't hit the notes in the right places as well also.
What's up for tomorrow? I suppose I'll have to crack and call Siv or Rath at some point. I think I shall be shopping in Greenwich during the day, and trying to score Spelling Bee SRO for the matinee.
And where's Ellie girl?
*hugs Tiff*
