"A New York real estate mogul has agreed to pay more than $190 million to acquire the Hotel Carter, the former Times Square flophouse that was coveted by numerous developers, hotel operators and investors around the globe."

I think the purchase had something to do with it being *the* place to go on GleeSmash.

"Glee" "Smash" I knew it was one of those screechy musical shows that weren't based in reality.

The hotel itself is probably worth about $.75 cents. The land is prime Manhattan real estate which, these days, is priceless.
