Does anyone else like the music? I just recently downloaded it for the hell of it and wanted to hear Brian D'Arcy (great voice) and I like it.
Anyone else like this also?
I wish I woulda seen the show, was it any good (for those who have seen it)?

Ooooops, thought I was on the normal board. And I did do a search, but guess that also didn't work since I searched the off topic board.
Damn it.

I love the music. I've never seen the musical though, but it was one of the first Musical Theatre CD's I had and one that really got my interested.

yea, just looked thru the posts on the on-topic board... a few of em with some opinions on the show. I wish I coulda seen it, seems like a cool show.
Oh well, I still got the music to listen to.
Barette's Song is awesome, although I'm a bit biased because I think Brian D'arcy James has a great voice.

Posted: 12/3/05 at 9:14pmI love Barrett's song too! I'm going to audition for The Secret Garden in March, I think, and I want the part of Dicken and I as thinking that Barrett's Song would be a good song for the part of Dicken.

Wait. German recording? I didn't realize there was one. I'm gonna have to look into that. I love the music. The Blame song makes me weak in the knees. I could listen to Michael Cerveris sing "Damnit sir, listen..." over and over again.

me too, cturtle. Have we talked about this before. deja vu I guess. anyway, It also has a special place in my heart, and the music is fantastic. I ran into Alma Cuervo once and asked her about her experience in it, and she pretty much summed it up:
great score, lousy book.
but I will always love it.
