I LOVE To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus Finch is my alltime favorite literary character, and Gregory Peck's performance as him is truly the stuff of legend. I think the film is probably the best film adaptation of a novel I have seen.

I always see the movie when it is on. The book weas good, but Gregory Peck reaslly adds something special. And, I do think this would be good for the stage. Why hasn't anyone adapted it?

It actually was adapted for the stage several years ago by Christopher Sergel. Dramatic Publishing owns the rights and it gets produced quite often. I've read the script and seen a production of it, it's a pretty good adaptation.

I read the book for school and watched the movie in school, and it was one of the best assignments ever. 'Hey, Boo!'

I've never read the book and it wasn't until I saw the play that I knew about the story of Jem and Mrs. Dubose. I absolutely loved it. It explains why the character of Jem always felt a little 'shortchanged' to me. I wanted to know all of them better - including Calpurnia, Dill, and Boo.
