To Kill A Mockingbird

Posted: 2/25/05 at 6:14pmIt actually was adapted for the stage several years ago by Christopher Sergel. Dramatic Publishing owns the rights and it gets produced quite often. I've read the script and seen a production of it, it's a pretty good adaptation.

I read the book for school and watched the movie in school, and it was one of the best assignments ever.

I've never read the book and it wasn't until I saw the play that I knew about the story of Jem and Mrs. Dubose. I absolutely loved it. It explains why the character of Jem always felt a little 'shortchanged' to me. I wanted to know all of them better - including Calpurnia, Dill, and Boo.
