To Kill a Mockingbird event in San Francisco#0
Posted: 10/6/06 at 4:48pmI just recieved this information - and I am sure it's not a rumor - comes from a very reliable source! On Sunday, November 19th at 6:30 pm, a special benefit screening of the claasic film will take place inside the historic Castro Theater. Not only will the film be featured - but in attendance will be Mary Badham - the actress who played Scout in conversation pre film with author Armistead Maupin. Also as part of the evening, actress JoBeth Williams will be reading a scene that was deleted from the film. Afterward - the audience will be able to meet and greet Badham and others. I do not have the ticket price yet - but you can get them by calling (415) 863 - 0611. And - if you ask for Scout when you call - you will recieve $5.00 off the price. I kid you not! This truly sounds like a not to miss evening - I know I will be there!

Posted: 10/6/06 at 5:25pmWow--what a bargain! If I was there, I'd be there! You think they might do this in NYC? Maybe get Ed White instead of Maupin?

Thanks for the links Jimny! I just got the info over lunch with Maupin and I was trying very hard to get the info straight in my post! Hahaha.
Lildogs - this event is produced by local film maker Marc Heustis, and he does these frequently here.

Posted: 10/6/06 at 10:19pmIt's a bargain too. To think, a VIP ticket to this is only $10 more than a ticket to an Adam Pascal concert, lol.
