re: Tom Hanks - the appeal is what exactly?

The appeal is his ability to hold the charisma of a character close to that of his own charisma, yet still transcend himself so that an audience sees a character and not a celebrity acting.

He's not my favorite actor, but his choices in projects have really been fantastic, and his performances have been very very good.

I can't stand Tom Hanks. I don't think he's a bad actor, I just think he's...blah.

He's also a fathead now.

the weird thing is, I really liked him as an actor, until i found out that he was playing Robert Langdon in The Da Vinci Code, but now I can't stand him, only because he really doesn't fit that role at all.... hahaha, I'm SUCH a loser

Well, Torch, if that's your basis for not liking him, then, yes, you are. re: Tom Hanks - the appeal is what exactly?

A loser darling, a loser. Although I don't believe he was referring to you.

BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

Dude have you SEEN his performance in The Ladykillers?

One of his best performances in one of the most misunderstood and underrated comedies of the past 20 years.
