Considering what he did to his body for Bronson, Bane immediately crossed my mind. So did Hugo Strange.

I love Tom Hardy and think he is the perfect actor for the Batman universe but I hope Nolan finally brings out some of the heroines/villains from the Batman universe that arguably fit better (Vicki Vale, Montoya, Talia al-Ghul, etc) than most of the remaining males to cover.

Tom Hardy is like Gerard Butler with acting ability, tasty to the extreme. But even he can't breathe life into Christopher Nolan's airless faux-solemn phoniness. It takes a Heath Ledger or Marion Cotillard to do that.
