Very cool news...Tom Waits is playing an eight-city tour next month!

Ticketmaster doesn’t appear to have any info yet, but the announced dates are

Aug 1 – Atlanta (on-sale Saturday)
Aug 2 – Asheville (on-sale July 14)
Aug 4 – Memphis
Aug 5 – Nashville
Aug 7 – Louisville
Aug 9 – Chicago
Aug 11 – Detroit
Aug 13 - Akron

I don’t think I’ve ever bumped one of my own threads (certainly not one that only garnered a dozen views the first go-round), but I am ridiculously excited about this show.

Tickets went on sale for most of the venues this morning; anyone else here going? Asheville sold out within twenty minutes (but not before I scored a seat!).
