Tony Kushner in Dallas

I had the pleasure of attending a moderated question-and-answer session last night with Tony Kushner hosted by the Dallas Museum of Art's "Arts and Letters Live" series. He is unbelievably smart, and I am amazed that his head doesn't explode with all that it contains. His answers flowed effortlessly from the political to the theological to the historical to the theatrical as he talked about his creative influences and processes.

I also had the honor of meeting him after as he signed books. He was kind and gracious, taking time to ask something of each person with whom he spoke. I played "Joe" in a production of "Angels in America: Millennium Approaches" two years ago, and Mr. Kushner signed a page from my working script, as he asked me about being an actor in Dallas and about my full-time job.

What a wonderful night. HermioneJuliet was there as well. Anything to add?!?

Oh, I thought he was ON Dallas....oh well.
