Too Good to Be True?

Have you guys ever had such an experience? I have- plenty of times. This past summer I got scammed and lost 800$!!! It was for a theatre workshop. The guy supposedly sexually harassed students. We found this out AFTER we paid plus after we paid we got a 97 page booklet of all the rules and regulations. Ridiculous to say the least- and some of the things were even illegal. We called the better bussiness bureu and filed complaints. He already had some compaints against him but he has a lawywer that covers his butt like you wouldn't believe.

However, this is my experience this past Friday.

My car was ubberly dirty- like, not even white anymore. I found a random car wash and I was looking at the prices and for the different things it was between 3 and 8$. I was deciding which to get and I was thinking the more expensive one cause it needed some major cleaning. Randomly, this guy comes over to me *he worked there* and he asked if I wanted a 'free' car wash. Well, I had a feeling this wasn't a 'free car wash' and I felt like I was being pulled to do something else. I mean, what the hell is free these days- right? So, I talked to him and he is convincing me it will be free. I just wanted to be safe, pay and get out but he insisted it would be the best car wash and it would be free. I was very very skeptical but I really couldn't pull out. I couldn't pull my car backwards because there were numerous cars. Anyway- he pressed the botton and it said 'move forward. Nervously, I did and stopped when it said to. I was freaked out that he was gonna get in the car or something even though I was in the middle of the garage wash thing. The water and soap started and like 10 minutes later it was finished. The whole time I was in there I was so scared- I wanted to call my mom but didn't. Yea- I'm crazy like that. Finally, it was done and it said pull forward and as I was leaving, he waved to me and I waved back and drove forward out of the garage thing. I thought I should give him a tip or something so I pulled around, thanked him and tried giving him 3$. He refused to take it. He said "It's Friday, buy yourself a drink" I wanted him to take it- I mean, I got a good free car wash. I told him I dont drink so he said to get an orange juice. haha. I tried and tried to give it to him. He refused so I thanked him again and pulled away. I now have a nice white clean car.

"The guy supposed sexually harassed students and it's a bunch of bull."

.....maybe next time a more succinct post?

Don't you watch CSI?

I bet there is some dead body in the trunk or a bloddy knife hidden somewhere in the interior.

nope! I was in the car the whole time re: Too Good to Be True?

Plus, I just put groceries in the trunk and put more window washing fluid in the front thing of the car.

Well, you did get a free car wash with what seem to be no repercussions, so I guess it isn't too good to be true.

I'm much more curious to know about the illegal rules and regulations in the handbook.

"I found a random car wash"

"Randomly, this guy comes over to me *he worked there* and he asked if I wanted a 'free' car wash."

Ask your English teacher how to use "random". It does not fit either of those situations. At all.

Would that it would, though. Would that it would.
