Did anyone else watch? I enjoyed it and thought the three competing chefs had really good attitudes and took criticism well.

It took awhile to get used to the different format, but I did enjoy it quite a bit. They were all great sports (mainly because they're already well established), and i like that it's all for charity. And as much as I'll miss Padma, I like Kelly.

Loved Hubert (sp?) and the pasta in the shower. Genius. And I thought Gail was supposed to be a judge? They introduced her in the beginning, but where was she?

I liked it. Although they all seemed like great sports, that itself takes away from the competition fun of Top Chef. The host was fine, but no Padma...and I missed Gail too!

I did my Carla impression..."Gail..GAIL?!"

Hubert's dessert looked terrific. The mouse with the chocolate tail was a great touch.

The little Girl Scouts were tougher on them than Gael Greene!

I missed Gail Simmons, too, xx. Maybe they rotate judges?

P.S. Doodle, don't worry. I'm sure we'll see some douchiness ensue. They aired a commercial with a very distressed French chef. "Don't tell meee how to kook!"

I definitely thought it odd that they have her as a regular judge, but didnt have her the first week, with NO explanation. Which of the three last night was a sub for her?

Not sure how it's going to work. Maybe the entire panel changes every week? I saw promotional clips with Wylie Dufresne, for example. Will he be competing or appearing as a judge?

I just checked the website and they list Dufresne as a contestant...AND NO GAIL!! Last night's judges are all that are listed.

While I didn't see the episode (and probably will once I have a free 45 minutes to myself), I think it's hilarious that Bravo is putting Tommy Collicho in all the promos when he's not even on the show.

Me too! She's the perfect combo of sweet and tough. I wonder what happened to her and Tom being involved in this.

Gail is gorgeous. And Tom was on last night, just offering some commentary at the beginning about how acclaimed the contestants are.
