This is a bad movie classic. Almost none of the intentional comedy works, but I laughed anyway simply because Bay had the audacity to go for it. The fact that this film did not take itself seriously whatsoever is a true virtue.

It was pretty awful. As my friend said to me, it's like Michael Bay forgot to edit it until the night before, and just had no idea what he was doing. There were some entertaining parts, and I do love Shia LeBouf, but it was not in any way a good movie.

I still think its amusing that Armageddon is on Criterion.

Not good. But Shia does a great job, as did Julie White.

I thought the acting was pretty good, actually (and Megan Fox - SOOO hot). My problem was what was said before - they didn't spend the time making each robot an individual as they did in the cartoon. We got a brief introduction - but throughout the whole thing, if it wasn't Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, or Megatron I had NO IDEA who any of the other robots were at any given moment.

I also felt they could have done without all those scenes in the Pentagon - they felt tacked on and unnecessary to me.

Still, things blew up, the robots transforming WAS cool, a VERY hot girl, and some funny moments (the scene with the robots on the house was great) made it a better summer action movie than much of the other dreck we've all sat through.

Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.

I was disappointed that they didn't play THE TOUCH.

I dunno, IMO I think Live Free or Die Hard has clearly been the top summer action movie. Much better than Transformers.
